Employers face increasing challenges in their efforts to establish defensible and transparent criteria that used to judge organizational success through the work of the top executives and the executive team and to increase executive competency.  

In our presentation, we will consider what the latest survey data for the Western Management Group at the executive level and how quantitative and behavioral data are being used to gauge executive success within broader incentive practices. As a national consulting firm, our presenter will be sharing the latest observations and trends pertaining to executive compensation and how employers have taken a variety of positions on this topic when it comes to assessing executive impacts upon organizational success.

Steve Treder is the Vice President for Strategic Development for Western Management Group, a firm specializing in compensation management since 1972. For example, the Government Contractors Compensation Survey includes 205 companies and over 317,000 incumbents. Prior to joining WMG, Mr. Treder was the Worldwide Sales Compensation Manager for Hewlett-Packard and held Senior Compensation and Human Resources positions in the high-end technology industry for nearly 25 years. He specializes in executive and incentive plan design and labor market analyses. Mr. Treder holds a Master’s Degree from Stanford University and Bachelor’s degree from Santa Clara University, both in the field of Sociology.
