Increasing wage pressure and employee mobility are driving employers to look at how to revamp and improve benefit plans after years of cuts.  At the same time, Health Care costs continue to rise at staggering levels.  In the Annual Benefits Benchmarking Survey review, we’ll discuss what Best in Class employers are doing to effectively engage employees AND hold down medical costs.

In this session, we’ll:

  • Review Key Findings of the 2018 Gallagher National Benchmarking Survey.
  • Identify those areas where Best in Class employers are finding success in creating an engaged employee culture and deploying effective cost controls.
  • Discuss current trends and concepts relating to enhancing benefit programs with minimal corporate investment.
  • Consider various cost control measures and how they might apply to your organization.
  • Provide examples of key benefit management strategies that you can deploy in your organizations.

This session promises to be interactive, and we will seek audience participation and discussion.

The session will be led by Michael Rankin, REBC, AIF®. Mr. Rankin is an Area Senior Vice President who joined the Gallagher employee benefit consulting team in January 2015, with nearly 20 years of financial services experience that has encompassed all areas of the employee benefits industry. 

Prior to joining Gallagher, Mr. Rankin was a Principal at e3 Financial, a mid-market employee benefit advisory firm. 

Mr. Rankin earned his Bachelor;s Degree in Political Science from The University of California, Santa Barbara. He has passed the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) studies from Fi360. 

Mr. Rankin assists his clients with the design, implementation, and investment monitoring of retirement plans; performing research and consulting on plan document reviews; compliance testing and other U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and/or Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) issues; and Fiduciary Risk Mitigation and process management.
