With all the focus on closing wage gaps, pay analyses have become an essential tool. But how do you ensure analyses are consistent with pay equity laws? Not doing so could result in serious legal problems. In this session, an employment attorney will review the common pitfalls and best practices.
With all the focus on equity and closing wage gaps, pay analyses have become an essential tool for U.S. companies. But are you taking the time to ensure your analyses are consistent with applicable pay equity laws? Not doing so could result in creating or exacerbating serious legal problems. In this session, an employment law attorney from Jackson Lewis will explain the patchwork of legal requirements, common pitfalls and best practices to ensure your analyses are legally compliant.
Scott Pechaitis is a Principal in Jackson Lewis' Affirmative Action Practice Group. He defends OFCCP audits and prepares Affirmative Action Plans. He is also a member of Jackson Lewis’ specialty Pay Equity Resource Group. In this capacity, Scott works with companies to provide privileged pay equity analyses, as well as legal advice and counsel around affirmative action and discrimination issues. He works closely with Jackson Lewis' in house statisticians, computer programmers and data analysts to assist employers in analyzing employee data to identify and eliminate “hidden” issues under the attorney-client privilege.
